Redesigning Alice

For this project, I chose to redesign the book cover of a classic and loved story, Alice in Wonderland. By using torn cardboard, paint, and backlighting from my lamp on my nightstand, I was able to capture the perfect shot of my makeshift forrest for the subsequent phases of editing in Adobe Photoshop. I wanted this piece to feel as organic and magical as the story itself, so I made sure to incorporate that into building the cover as well as choosing the natural color palette. In creating a new cover for this already well-known book, I was able to highlight the true essence of Alice’s Adventures and experience in Wonderland.
